  Program Overview

At the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business, we take a dramatically different approach from other undergraduate business programs. Structured around the concepts of "fellowship," the Smith undergraduate program creates a unique and enriching experience based upon our philosophy of integrating practical skills and theoretical learning.

New freshman and transferring juniors participate as a cohort--or ongoing group--in a broad range of academic and co-curricular activities designed to broaden your education and create a lasting bond with your group.

A fellowship represents the highest level of academic excellence, a recognition of the talents of our outstanding students working and learning with our world-class faculty.
